Fujimi One Hundred Series

I will start my posts with information about the Fujimi Mokei One Hundred Series. These kits were 1/70 scale and cost 100 Yen (about 30 cents in 1966) - hence the name One Hundred Series. The kits came with a very nice Fujimi color guide sheet (which was a series of color profiles) from 1965-1967.
Later issues (Fujimi, AHM-Fujimi, Bachmann-Fujimi, etc.) did not have the color guides. The only exception I have found is the AHM-Fujimi P-47D - where the color guide is on the bottom of the box.
I know of 13 kits in the series.
FC-1 Zero 21*
FC-2 Zero 32*
FC-3 Zero 54*
FC-4 KI-43*
FC-5 KI-44*
FC-6 KI-61*
FC-7 KI-84*
FC-8 KI-100*
FC-9 F4U-4
FC-10 P-47D
FC-11 (?)
FC-12 F4U-5N
FC-13 F6F-5
Here is what the KI-44 looks like.

Several of these kits (*) were packaged as 1/72 kits by UPC in the mid-to-late sixties with different box art by Scott Eidson and sold in the US. Some Fujimi/UPC kits can be found on EBay and from dealers like Old Model Kits .

 The UPC KI-44 is below.

Above is what the Fujimi color profile for the KI-44 looks like.
More One Hundred Series information coming soon!
